Project to Product & The Product Owner Role
This Speaker Series will present the presentation that was not presented December 8, and focus in on the Product Owner.
The Product Owner is now identified as having the single greatest influence on a successful delivery team. The pressure to deliver under the pressure of time will always compete with the need to deliver value. The need to support the delivery team can be confusing and difficult.
More description coming...
Message from December 8:
Product development has become a popular model for developing solutions.
Project development organizations are making the transition to product development. Along the way we find misconceptions, uncertainty, and anxieties when transitioning to or operating in a product development in one of its roles such as product manager and product owner.
In product, others have the same title but different job responsibilities. We find many moving parts when transitioning to a product development environment.
For a successful transition into product development, we need to become aware of the change going from an activity oriented environment to an outcome oriented environment. We will likely participate in a fusion of product and lean-agile. The focus moves to team.
The benefits of product are many. We will discuss this and more. We will offer suggestions on project management practitioners' career path.
