10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Overview
Excel is a very powerful spreadsheet program, which can analyze business data in more ways than one could count. Most people use less than 10% of its capabilities. Imagine if you could not only learn more functions and formulas, but also learn in which scenarios to use them, and even how to combine functions together to solve business problems!
Let us help you build your skills! The Toronto IIBA Chapter has established a series of 3-hour workshops for you to achieve ‘EXCELlence’. You choose your starting point, and go as far as you need/want.
In this Intermediate Functions and Formulas workshop, you will learn to process and analyze volumes of data by:
- Entering formulas with linked cells in the same worksheet, different worksheet or different workbook
- Using two different modes while editing a cell/formula
- Relative cell referencing, absolute cell referencing, mixed cell referencing – for single cells or multiple cells (range)
- VLOOKUP (single or multiple criteria)
- Recognizing if a cell is number or text
Every participant will leave the session with greater comfort and confidence to model business processes using effective diagramming techniques, be less intimidated by this work, and clearly show how Business Process Modeling leads to better business outcomes.
You will have a working knowledge of basic formulas - SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, COUNTA, COUNTBLANK
Every participant will leave each session less intimidated by data analysis, with the confidence knowing your improved Excel skills will lead to data-driven decision-making, better business outcomes and your boss thoroughly impressed!
