The Presentation
Walk the BOK – A Practitioners Framework to Study, Understand and Apply the BABOK®
The Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK®) is a powerful framework of commonly accepted business analysis tasks and activities performed by practitioners. With the release of the newest version of the BABOK® (V3), there is a dire need in the BA community for simple paradigms and perspectives to help study, understand and more importantly apply this knowledge.
This presentation aims at helping BA practitioners to advance their craft by providing a practical framework to apply the knowledge in the BABOK®.
Key Learning Objectives:
• Busting BABOK® Myths and Half-Truths – learn and understand the real truth behind the BABOK® myths and half-truths.
• Paradigms to Understand the Knowledge Areas – the powerful WHW paradigm of What, How, and Who, that can help business analysts relate knowledge areas to the real business analysis practice.
• Applying Tasks – A step-by-step framework to apply the different tasks iteratively in a project or initiative.
• A Perspective on Perspectives – How can the practitioners leverage the perspectives in BABOK® V3 in real-world scenarios.
